Simone Inzaghi will choose between captain Salem Al-Dawsari and Netherlands international Crysencio Summerville for Al-Hilal's winger role in Saturday's Saudi Roshn League match against Al-Fateh at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. The decision will follow the team's training session on Friday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Inzaghi said the decision would come "after today's training, especially in light of the absence of Gabriel Martinelli due to injury." Martinelli was injured during Al-Hilal's 3-2 win over Al-Qadsiah last Friday in the eleventh round.
On three other injured players, Inzaghi reported: "The readiness of Mohamed Mohzari, Sergej Savic and Ruben Neves will be determined after today's training. Mohzari and Savic took part in yesterday's session, and Neves showed us progress in his readiness." All three missed Al-Hilal's most recent match, a 3-1 defeat to Qatar's Al-Shamal in the AFC Champions League Elite.
Inzaghi described the contest as important for maintaining their league position. "An important match awaits us. We will try to win in order to stay on top, and Al-Fateh are an organised side whom we respect," he said. He added that the team wanted to improve their handling of set-pieces.
Al-Hilal sit third in the Saudi League on 27 points, one point behind both Al-Qadsiah and Al-Nassr, who have played additional matches. Al-Fateh are sixteenth with 6 points from one win and three draws.
