Fenerbahce has issued an official denial regarding widespread reports linking the Turkish club with a move for Ermedin Demirovic, the VfB Stuttgart striker. The club's statement, released Saturday morning, firmly rejected speculation that had emerged in German media about a potential transfer pursuit.
"The news published in the press today that our club are interested in Ermedin Demirovic, who plays for Stuttgart, is completely unfounded," Fenerbahce declared. "We are making no transfer attempts regarding the player in question." The categorical denial came after Sky Germany reported that the Istanbul giants had targeted the 28-year-old Bosnian forward as a summer reinforcement.
Demirovic's Stuttgart Future Remains Uncertain
According to German sources, Stuttgart would consider selling Demirovic if an offer between 15 and 20 million euros materialized. However, the striker himself appears settled in Baden-Württemberg. Despite being linked with elite European clubs, Demirovic has shown no intention of departing, comfortable with Stuttgart's competitive project and his current environment. Fenerbahce's statement additionally addressed speculation surrounding Portuguese winger Rafael Leao of AC Milan. The Turkish side categorically denied Italian reports claiming it had submitted a 100 million euro bid encompassing both transfer fee and salary terms. "No offer was made in this regard to the player or his club," Fenerbahce stressed. Leao himself fueled transfer talk in late May, announcing his desire to leave Milan after several successful seasons.
