Bilal Nadir has completed his move to Hamburger SV on a free transfer from Olympique Marseille, becoming the German club's second summer signing. The Moroccan midfielder signed a long-term contract after passing his medical at Hamburg's training camp in Austria, where he put pen to paper in front of club officials. He will wear the number 4 shirt for the Bundesliga side.
The 21-year-old, born in Nice on 28 November 2003, progressed through the French academy system before joining Marseille in summer 2021. After breaking into the Ligue 1 first team in 2023, Nadir made 53 official appearances for the Provence club, contributing 2 goals and 5 assists while gaining European experience across 4 Champions League and 2 Europa League matches. His versatility in midfield—capable of operating across multiple roles—caught Hamburg's attention during what was a competitive market for free agents.
