The legendary full-back, who played for both Italian giants, expressed deep reservations about Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade as replacements for Dusan Vlahovic.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zambrotta highlighted the striking disparity between transfer valuations and actual output from Juventus' new forwards. "Kolo Muani and Woltemade have scored five goals in total in 2026," he stated. "For Juventus, these valuations exceed €100 million—which makes you think." The absence of Kenan Yildiz through injury and inconsistency from Arkadiusz Milik have compounded the Bianconeri's goal-scoring struggles, leaving them short of a commanding presence in the final third.
The Vlahovic Mistake
Zambrotta's principal regret centers on Vlahovic's departure, viewing the Serbian international as an irreplaceable finisher. "I would have done everything to keep Vlahovic. I always saw him as a true number nine," he explained, acknowledging that a free transfer exit placed the club in an impossible negotiating position. This loss has left a void that neither Kolo Muani's work rate nor Woltemade's emerging talent appear capable of filling effectively.
