His spell at Chelsea yielded a Premier League title and the League Cup, cementing his status as one of the competition's most accomplished defenders.

Despite his short coaching career, Luis has already demonstrated tactical expertise at the highest level. He took charge of Brazilian giants Flamengo in September 2024 and immediately delivered silverware, securing the domestic league title and the prestigious Copa Libertadores trophy. Leverkusen finished sixth in the Bundesliga this season, missing out on Champions League qualification following defeats to competitors like Stuttgart.
