Arsenal Circle but Look Elsewhere
Arsenal has emerged as the leading contender for Scott's signature, with the midfielder openly expressing his desire to join the Gunners. However, complications arise in north London too. Arsenal has prioritised Newcastle United's Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes as their primary target in midfield and shows reluctance to invest heavily in two players for the same position simultaneously. Additionally, Scott harbours concerns about playing time at the Emirates, given the competitive depth of Arsenal's midfield options under Mikel Arteta.
Bournemouth remains unmoved. The club's hierarchy refuses to accept below their asking price, viewing Scott as one of their key assets. This resolute stance has effectively frozen his summer departure, leaving the England midfielder in limbo until a serious offer approaches Bournemouth's valuation. The midfielder made 28 Premier League appearances last season, establishing himself as one of the division's emerging midfield talents.
