Al-Diriyah Signs Al-Bukhari as Goalkeeper on Free Transfer

Al-Diriyah have secured their goalkeeping position ahead of their maiden campaign in the Saudi Roshn League by signing Amin Al-Bukhari on a free transfer. The 29-year-old Saudi goalkeeper joins the newly promoted club after his contract with Al-Fateh expired during the summer window.

The move represents Al-Bukhari's seventh Saudi league club, following stints at Al-Ittihad, Al-Ain, Al-Ettifaq, Damac, Al-Nassr and Al-Fateh. The goalkeeper spent five seasons at Al-Nassr between 2020 and 2025, establishing himself as an experienced presence in Saudi football's top tier.

Building Squad Strength for League Debut

Al-Diriyah's acquisition of Al-Bukhari marks their fourth summer signing as they prepare for their first Roshn League season following promotion. The club initially pursued fellow Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais, who opted to join Al-Hilal instead, forcing them to pivot to Al-Bukhari as an alternative option.

The club's recruitment drive includes:

  • Saeed Al-Rubaie from Al-Akhdoud
  • Hattan Bahebri from Al-Kholood
  • Clayton Dianidy, a Senegalese defender from Greek side Aris Thessaloniki

Al-Diriyah secured promotion to the Roshn League by defeating Al-Ula in the Yelo First Division League playoff final, earning their place in the top flight. With Al-Bukhari's experience across multiple Saudi clubs, the goalkeeper brings valuable familiarity with the league's demands as the club embarks on their maiden Roshn League adventure.
