Barcelona are considering an approach to UEFA. What displeased the Catalans?

Barcelona hosted Atlético Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final and suffered a 0–2 defeat, but the Catalans are prepared to challenge the decisions.

Details: According to Santi Ovalle, Barcelona are ready to file a complaint with UEFA regarding the officiating in the clash against Atlético Madrid. The trigger was a handball by defender Marc Pubill.

As reported, after Atlético’s goalkeeper restarted play with a goal kick, his teammate clearly handled the ball inside the penalty area, effectively stopping its movement. However, the referee ignored the incident.

The return leg between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona will take place in a week, on April 14, at the Metropolitano, kicking off at 21:00 CET.

Reminder: It has also emerged why the VAR officials failed to properly assess the Pubill incident and did not alert the referee to what had occurred.
