Arsenal Set £30m Price Tag on Gabriel Jesus Amid Juventus

Gabriel Jesus looks increasingly likely to depart Arsenal this summer as the Gunners reshape their attacking options. The 29-year-old Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates, with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz now firmly ahead of him in the forward hierarchy. Arsenal have reportedly valued the striker at around £30 million, though his substantial wage packet threatens to complicate any potential deal.

Since joining from Manchester City in July 2022, Jesus has contributed 31 goals and 22 assists across 122 appearances for Arsenal. However, persistent knee injuries have disrupted his consistency, and his influence has diminished significantly. This season has been particularly challenging, with the attacker managing just five goals and two assists from 26 appearances and only 913 minutes of playing time. His £265,000-per-week salary represents a substantial obstacle for interested clubs, particularly Italian sides exploring a summer move.

Italian Clubs Face Wage Hurdle

Both Juventus and AC Milan have expressed interest in acquiring Jesus, attracted by his experience in European football. The tactical demands of Serie A football align well with his playing style, yet neither club appears willing to match his current earnings without a significant reduction. Unless the Brazilian accepts a meaningful pay cut, a move to Italy remains unlikely despite genuine sporting interest from both Turin and Milan-based sides.

Arsenal's willingness to sell Jesus underscores their ambition for the transfer window. Club hierarchy are reportedly even open to offloading both Jesus and Havertz if it secures funding for Julian Alvarez, the highly-rated Atletico Madrid forward. If a European transfer fails to materialize, a homecoming to Brazilian club Palmeiras remains a credible option, with Jesus having previously expressed his emotional connection to his childhood team.

Before any summer departures, Arsenal's immediate focus is on securing a historic double. The Gunners sit atop the Premier League with 79 points and face crucial fixtures against Burnley and Crystal Palace, followed by a monumental Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30.
