AC Milan have completed the signing of Sankhoun Diawara from Ligue 1 side Troyes, securing the 18-year-old centre-back on a long-term deal. The transfer fee stands at approximately €3 million plus performance bonuses, with the Rossoneri also retaining 10% of any future resale revenue. The left-footed defender will arrive in Milan this week for his medical examination.
Standing 1.90 metres tall, Diawara arrives as Strahinja Pavlovic's backup defender in manager Ruben Amorim's three-man defence system. The teenager's profile mirrors Pavlovic's technical strengths: comfortable in possession, capable of executing long diagonal passes, and proficient at building from the back. Last season at Troyes, Diawara made 17 appearances across league and cup competitions, predominantly from February onwards, contributing one goal and one assist.
