Al-Ahli have secured the services of striker Abdullah Radif on a four-year contract through the 2029-30 season, completing a deal that fell through for Saudi rivals Al-Ittihad. The 23-year-old departs Al-Hilal after five years with the Riyadh powerhouse, where he progressed through their academy system before being loaned to multiple Saudi clubs.
Radif had initially agreed terms with Al-Ittihad on a three-year deal valued at 27 million riyals—roughly nine million annually—but the capital club withdrew from negotiations due to insufficient financial resources. Al-Ahli moved swiftly to capitalize on the breakdown, securing the forward as their sixth recruitment of the summer window. The striker joins a crowded attacking roster that includes England international Ivan Toney, Brazilian Ricardo Matias, and Saudi Arabia's Firas Al-Buraikan, positioning him as a backup option in the striker hierarchy.

The forward's most recent competitive action came during the second half of last season with Al-Fayha, where he made eight appearances without finding the net but contributing two assists. His loan history at Al-Taawoun, Al-Shabab, Al-Ettifaq, and Al-Fayha over five years reflects the challenges of breaking through at an elite academy, though his persistence earned this fresh opportunity with one of Saudi Arabia's most ambitious clubs.
Al-Ahli's summer recruitment drive has been aggressive, also bringing in Gambian midfielder Aboubacar Sidy Kanté, Portuguese winger Francisco Trincão, and Armenian midfielder Eduard Spertsyan alongside domestic additions Meshaal Al-Mutairi and Nayef Masoud.
