Melvine Malard has completed her move to Chelsea from Manchester United in a deal worth at least £750,000, making it a club-record sale for the Red Devils. The 26-year-old France international will wear the No.9 shirt at Stamford Bridge after signing a four-year contract with the Blues.

Manchester United's Recruitment Crisis
The departure represents another blow to Manchester United's squad depth. The club has made minimal progress in the summer window, signing only young defender Andrea Medina. Malard's exit follows the departures of Millie Turner and Lisa Naalsund, who both joined newly-promoted Birmingham City. United attempted to secure Malard to a new deal before her contract expired next summer, but negotiations stalled before Chelsea stepped in.
